This year I have the pleasure of teaching your child science and social studies. We will spend a few weeks on a science unit, then switch to social studies for a few weeks. We flip - flop the two subjects throughout the year.

Science and social studies grades are given throughout each unit. Grades are given for participation, completion, tests and projects.

My goal is to make science fun! I love science and will share that love with your child this year. You'll quickly realize that my students are busy in a very hands-on classroom. I also use a lot of art, reading, writing, math, measurment, and technology in my science classroom.

Remember the Alamo? In my social studies classroom one of our biggest (and most fun) units is on the Alamo. We will also learn about many other highlights in Texas history in chronological order. I integrate a lot of reading and technology into my social studies classroom.
