    Trip Details
This trip will allow students to explore many of the natural habitats of animals and plants that they study in their classrooms. Students have the opportunity to board a research vessel and investigate living creatures from the depths of the bay in order to observe adaptations. They will also use the pier lab to further study the creatures from that area. In addition, students will visit the Texas State Aquarium in Corpus Christi, and the estuary and marsh lands of Port Aransas.

This is an outstanding educational opportunity for children, and a great way to end their elementary experience. Students will travel to Corpus Christi to view the aquarium and then go on to Port Aransas on the first day. In Port Aransas they will perform experiments and explore the beach area. On the second day, students will take a boat trip, and visit marshland habitat and jetty areas, before leaving in the afternoon for Lago Vista.

    Instructors
Mrs. Andrea Roach and Mrs. Sherry Durham will provide direction instruction in the activities and field experiences. Mrs. Monica Kaiser and Mr. Rhea Fox and an instructor from UTMSI will also provide instruction and support. Classroom teachers will assist as well.
