Directions: You can do one activity with your spelling words. You can use this as your spelling homework. Here are some ideas. Feel free to do something else you can think of.


• Write your words in paint or shaving cream.
• Write sentences using spelling words.
• Write your words with glitter.
• Write your words with chalk on a sidewalk.
• Write the definitions of your words.
• Make up a story using your words.
• Make up a song using your spelling words.
• Cut out letters out of magazines/ newspapers to spell out your words.
• Use alphabet macaroni or alphabet cereal and spell out your words.
• Write your words in an artistic way (rainbow letters make the letters look like the word, etc.)
• Make a cassette tape of you saying and spelling the words slowly. (Listen to this tape at home or in your car!)
• Make an educational video where you teach someone how to spell your words.
• Type your words on a computer 3 times each and print them out.
• Make a concentration card game with your words and spell each match as you win.
• If you can’t think of something to do…write your spelling words 3-5 times each.
• Make up your own creative spelling activity. I love hearing new creative ideas!
