Dear Parents,
Every student in my class has a "good choices" chart, which consists of four different levels:
1. GREEN - Very good day!
2. YELLOW - Oops! A card was pulled after three verbal warnings. (After Jan. only one verbal warning).
3. BLUE - Oh dear. Still not making good choices. You need to sit out and think about the rules.
4. RED - Oh no! You will need to call your parents, take a sad note home, or talk to the principal and loose privileges.
Each student starts off the day on green. If a student had to pull a card they always have the chance to go back to green, or the next color up if they start making better choices and follow rules. (Everyone can have a bad day and has the chance to correct their choices).
Please check for the "Viking Value" folder inside the Friday Folder. This folder has a calendar to let you know how your child's week was in school. If they have a sticker, stamp, or smiley face for a particular day then they had a "green" day. If your child ends the day on another color it will have a line with that color. For example, if your child had a "blue" day I would mark that particular day with a blue marker and write what they did to get that color. Please sign the end of each week next to parent signature. This calendar will also have up coming events and holidays to keep you informed.
If your child is absent, the make up work will be inside this folder as well. Please send back the completed work.
PLEASE SIGN AND RETURN THIS FOLDER AND FRIDAY FOLDER EVERY MONDAY.
Thank you,
Barbara Erwin
