I am truly proud and pleased to be able to begin my eleventh year in LVISD and eigth year as your principal.

My husband, Paul, (who you won't see pictured because he's the guy behind the camera most of the time), and I are happy to be able to raise our soon-to-be 5 year-old son, Bryan, as a part of the LVES community. As a small-town girl from West Texas, I enjoy the small community feel of Lago Vista - with a few more trees and a lot more water than West Texas.

I earned an undergraduate degree from Angelo State University with a major in elementary education and a minor in English literature. I went on to earn a master of education degree with a specialization in reading from Angelo State a few years later, then completed my principalship certification at the University of Texas.

I am beginning my seventeenth year in education. Much of my teaching career was spent in working with students who struggle in reading. I still consider myself a reading teacher in my heart. I have also taught fourth, fifth and sixth grades. I truly enjoy that pre-middle school age of student.
