Tips to avoid financial aid scams & scholarship scams:
Beware of mail or email which requires a processing fee to submit applications for financial aid or scholarships.
Scams often look very official with seals and web pages similar to those of government institutions.
If you are asked to pay money in order to get money, it is likely a scam.
When you are unsure about financial aid forms or scholarship offers, contact the high school counseling office for assistance.
