Use a "Virtual File Manager"
On this web site I have a number of downloadable documents for yo to use, but you didn't see any download buttons. It takes a little longer to do things this way, but the result is often worth the extra trouble. Actually, I do have a download page where all of the documents and pictures I have used on this web site are stored, but it's "hidden."

But you can click here to see it.
The Download Page
You first have to use a download page to upload your documents to the server, and so that they will have a file path (just like a URL). What I did then, was to use the Properties button to take my "hidden documents" page out of the navigation, and then use href tags to make links to those documents. The best part of doing it this way is that I can make those documents open in a new browser. I can also reformat a web page in a way that looks a little spiffier than a regular Download page, as below. Here, I have combined the href tags for the documents with my Table Maker code to display six of the documents found elsewhere on this web site:
In a Triple Column Table with Borders
And in a Double Column Table without Borders
