I am from Indianapolis, IN. I graduated from Indiana University with a BS in Art Education. I came to Texas in 1998 to care for my Grandfather. He was a great influence in my life and taught me a lot before he pasted away due to Leukemia. I knew I wanted to stay in this beautiful area so I ran to LVISD as fast as I could. I substituted for the district and was hired to finish the '99 school year as a Paraprofessional at the high school. I was then hired as the Art teacher at the Elementary. After serving 10 wonderful years as Art teacher, I decided I would like to move in a different direction. I am extreamly excited to be able to work with a small group of children and be able to concentrate on their needs and gifts.
I live in the area with my husband Jon and kids. I have two young children, Maya who is in kinder. and Thomas, who is in the daycare. My stepdaughter, Chelsea is attending college in Tempe, AZ. I can't forget my two golden retrievers, Chuska and Groovy. Not to mention two hermit crabs and a turtle.
I am so excited to work with your children this year and can't wait to see what the future has in store.
