| Hi, I'm Jim Henry, your child's 6th grade World Cultures teacher. |
I bring a lifetime of experience on this subject to the classroom. Being a "military brat", I've had the opportunity to live in both Europe and Asia while growing up. Now I'm happily married to a German national and we visit her family every couple of years. While in Germany, we travel extensively.
While working as a doorman at a Latin salsa club several years ago, I had the opportunity to visit and become friends with several foreign citizens. These friends include all continents with the exception of Antarctica.
In addition, my wife and I subscribe to DWTV, a German broadcast station.
I am blessed to have been exposed, and to be continually exposed to various cultures and points of views and hope to enhance the curriculum by bringing these experiences, and some of my varous ethnic friends, into the classroom. |
