Hello! I think second graders are just awesome!! I am so happy to be teaching your child this year!
This is my fifth year here at Lago Vista. I have taught in the Texas public schools for 16 years. I earned a Bachelor's of Art in Teaching degree from Sam Houston State University. I began my career in the Houston area, and moved to the Austin area 11 years ago. Teaching truly is my passion, but I have many other things that are of interest to me. The list includes camping, canoeing, fishing, reading, dancing, and having dinner out!! Like most kids, I love puppies and wildlife. My hope is to some day go to Africa. Although, Hawaii would be nice too!!
Children are truly the future of America. I look forward to coming to work every day and helping to build that future. I believe each child possesses within them the capability to create a better world. I am only a small part of that! It takes the Viking parents too. I am so blessed to have such great parents to work with. I am looking forward to working with you and your child this year!
