She placed 5th overall in her weight Class (123.5- 132.5) lifting a total of 695 pounds in the squat, bench and deadlift. Ari not only placed at the meet her total was enough to automatically qualify her for the State Women's Powerlifting meet two weeks from now in Corpus Christi. Just qualifying for the regional meet is an amazing accomplishment! In order to advance to the regional level Ari had to rank in the top 12 lifters in her weight class out of all the schools (private though 5-A) in the approximately 35 Central Texas counties. This was Ari's third year to qualify for the regional meet, but it will be her first trip to the state meet.
