Viking summer camps have become a tradition at LVISD. Learn fundamentals, techniques, and work to reach your full potential.

The coaching staff at LVISD are excited to have an opportunity to work with students over the summer. We realize the success we experience throughout the school year is a direct reflection on how we spend our time during the summer break.

Lady Viking Softball Camp

Spend some time with District Champion coaches and players and improve your softball skills. Specialized workouts will include fielding, pitching, hitting and base running.

Basic fundamentals of fielding (each position), hitting/bunting, bases running and pitching.

Campers will be grouped according to age, size, and ability

Players will be instructed on all positions

Special instruction on health and fitness as well as the value of a positive attitude, respect and discipline.

Girls entering 4th, 5th, 6th, 7th, 8th and 9th grades (2010-2011)

Fundamental Camp - focus is to teach basic individual fundamentals of basketball, while allowing camper the opportunity to apply learned skills in drills, contests and games.

Shooting Camp - focus is to provide the necessary tools to correctly shoot a basketball such as specific details of shooting motion including proper set-up, body position, and release point.

Girls Fundamental Camp
June 14-16, 2010 (MTW)

Girls Shooting Camp
June 17-18, 2010 (ThF)

Viking Gold
Girls entering 5th, 6th & 7th grade
Viking "Gold" is for beginners. Focus will be on learning the basics of the game and the skills of bumping & serving.

Viking Blue
Girls entering 8th & 9th grade
Viking "Blue" will review the basics and focus on position play, including digging, setting, hitting, and blocking.
