Hello, I'm the Intermediate Reading Specialist for Lago Vista Elementary School. I work with struggling readers in the intermediate grades. I also serve as our campus' dyslexia teacher. My passion is teaching children to learn to read and to love it along the way! I have been teaching for 10 years, nine of those years at LVES. My experience includes teaching grades 1st, 2nd and 3rd, as well as reading for grades 2nd - 12th. There is no other job in this world that I'd rather do!

I graduated from The University of Texas in 1998...hook 'em horns! My hobbies include watching football (the longhorns of course), wakeboarding, camping, hiking and shopping.

I also LOVE spending time with my family. My three year old son and husband keep me pretty busy! My husband is a teacher at Cedar Park High School, and my mom is the ESL teacher here at LVES. Needless to say, teaching is a "family affair!"
