Please join us in our effort to rid our community of the R-word. This word is used loosely in conversation, and is hurtful to many people. Those people are not just those with physical or cognitive disabilities, but those who have family members and friends with disabilities. We abstain from using other words with negativity attached to them, and we encourage everyone to add this word to that list. We are making and distributing buttons that we encourage people to wear proudly.
