Hi! I'm Suzanne Chandler and I am a special education teacher at the elementary school. I have recently received my 15 year service pin from the district. I spent the first five years teaching students with special needs in a self-contained classroom. I loved working with the children but the time came when I had to let them move up to the middle school. I then began working as a resource teacher to help students with academic learning difficulties. The elementary school has two resource teachers. I teach the primary grades and Jill Yononne teaches the intermediate grades. Our students come to our classrooms for language arts and/or math. It is such a joy when one of them reads their first book or writes their first story. I use my students' individual educational plans as my guidelines for my lessons. If you, as a parent, have any questions, my conference period is 12:45 - 1:30. To make an appointment you can call the main office at 267-8340 or send an e-mail to: firstname.lastname@example.org.
I have been teaching special education for the past 30 years and I truly love it.
I received my Bachelor of Science degree and my Master of Education degree at the University of Texas in Austin. You can probably guess that I am a huge Longhorn fan. HOOK 'EM HORNS!
