Spelling lists are given out the first school day of the week. Students must turn in all assignments at the beginning of the next school day.
Lists and assignments can be downloaded if they are misplaced. Assignments with worksheets will need to be given to your child by Mrs. Graham.
Math
Math homework assignments are given for students to review a skill taught in a previous grade level and/or to work on a skill taught in class. All homework is due the next class period (unless otherwise specified in your child's assignment book).
Daily homework in math would be to work on multiplication facts through 12's and division with 2 digit or higher dividends and 2 digit divisors.

Fifth grade Social Studies content is on American History. Our class will be learning about the events and documents that make our country strong.
Language Arts
Language Arts encompasses grammar, writing, reading and spelling skills taught in order to prepare your child for 5th grade level and higher activities in those areas. Skills focus on decoding, vocabulary, grammar rules of writing expressive, persuasive, and entertaining.
Science
Fifth grade Science content is based on: Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Science and the Nature of Science. During the year we will study all areas as well as participate in many hands on lab activities.
